Introduction

After a long consideration, finally this movie blog is started. There’s nothing sophisticated about CaramelScreen – a name chosen merely because great movies come hand-in-hand with tasty caramel popcorn. The aim is to keep things as casual as possible. Those who are keen to discuss movies in a more sophisticated way can set an appointment with François Ozon. (Sorry, we don’t have his number.)

CaramelScreen takes movies from an audience point of view. We pay the ticket price, and so we have the rights to say what we want. However, we don’t believe in “good” or “bad”. It’s either we like them, or we’re sorry to have spent the time watching them. We don’t believe in scores, or stars, or the likes. We just believe that some movies are made for brainiacs, some for slackers, some for Edward Cullen worshippers (okay, not us!), and so forth.

In the long run, CaramelScreen has one important target: to grab free invites to movie screenings. Yes, we’re that low.
